Controller

Sacramento law firm Olson, Hagel & Fishburn, LLP seeks a Controller. The successful candidate will be responsible for the firm's overall financial management. Responsibilities include financial analysis, forecasting, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, collections, accounts payable and receivable, cash flow control, trust accounting and payroll. In addition, the Controller will work with the managing partner, practice group leaders and the director of administration in preparation of the annual budget.

The Controller works closely with the managing partner and director of administration and is part of the firm's administrative management team.

This position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting with a minimum of five years of progressively responsible related work experience in a legal or professional services industry. Qualified candidate must have knowledge of accounting and financial management principles, be able to manage projects timely and effectively, and be extremely well organized. The right candidate will be self-motivated, be able to work independently, be capable of maintaining firm confidentiality and be proficient with Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
